Silver Spider

“This series began in 2019 working in my studio after the birth of my second child. I found a very similar house spider was feasting on ants in my window. She seemed to be there, every time I looked for her and I wanted to honor her, my only company during a very tender time."

Each spider is hand sculpted and vary slightly from one to the next. Not a direct copy of the spider in Fay's studio but an expression of her presence. They are designed with a sterling stem in their bellies so they can be easily mounted to the wall like a tack and are meant to be displayed on the wall up out of our sight line to watch over the occupants of a room.
