Each sculpture begins with loving observation and simple, everyday gestures that reveal the depth of that bond. Though intimate in scale, their emotional presence is expansive, reflecting both the cultural and personal dimensions of motherhood.

Collectors are invited to participate as collaborators. Whether celebrating parenthood, marking a milestone, or creating a remembrance, each sculpture becomes a lasting expression of love."

These intimate, hand-sculpted porcelain portraits capture the timeless bond between mother and child in a tender embrace. Inspired by Michelangelo’s Pietà and Fay Ray’s own journey through motherhood, each piece is uniquely crafted to reflect the warmth and depth of the maternal connection.

Each portrait is hand sculpted using photography or LiDAR scans as reference allowing for a deeply personal and individualized representation. Your sculpture will be completed within four to six weeks of your scanning session with Fay or your photographic submission.

• After purchase, the studio will email you to schedule a short consultation with Fay to review reference images, discuss glaze preferences and answer questions.
• Fay begins sculpting once reference materials are received. Each piece is completed within about four weeks of your scan or photo submission.
• You’ll receive weekly updates as the piece moves through sculpting, firing, and glazing.
• The finished sculpture is photographed, art-packed with a certificate of authenticity, and prepared for delivery. Global consultations and shipping are available.

• Each sculpture is hand-sculpted in bright white porcelain and fired in a high-temperature reduction kiln.
• Sculptures average 8 × 8 inches, though size and glaze may vary slightly with each unique subject.
• Each sculpture includes a solid walnut base measuring 8 × 11 × 1.5 inches.
